Bodybuilder in gym. Muscular man working out in gym, doing exercise back lat pulldown. Strong male rear view.

Science is great and it’s helped us understand things like fat loss and building muscle but i think it can also take the art factor away. Don’t let science be an excuse for you to not to train hard.

Just because some nerds who’ve barely lifted hard a day in their life come together to do 4 sets of leg extensions to measure something in a study doesn’t mean shit.

Things like bodybuilding are as much an art as a science. We rely on science way too much, even over what we are actually feeling. We should be listening to our bodies more instead.

For example If you’re doin a science based program and not seeing results maybe you need more or less volume than the nerds doing the leg extensions in the study or maybe you need more or less frequency etc. Don’t follow research blindly. 🙈
