If you’re buying your supplements from the supermarket, you’re likely flushing your hard-earned money down the toilet.
The vitamin and supplement industry is massive, and businesses want to capitalize on this. You can get vitamins and supplements anywhere and everywhere, but that doesn’t mean they’re good or will work. Trying to save money on supplements often means you’re buying a product in its cheapest and least absorbable form or it’s underdosed. So, are you really saving money?
With supplements, you usually get what you pay for (unless you’re buying Multi-Level Marketing supps, which are usually expensive and ineffective at the same time).
Stick to practitioner brands like Thorne and Bioceuticals. If you’re not buying practitioner brands, make sure you understand what the most bioavailable form of the supplement you want is and exactly how much you need of it. Just because a bottle says fish oil or magnesium on it doesn’t mean it will do what you want. This is why people think supplements don’t work.
