Why You Should Probably Increase Your Carbs
You should really try increasing your carbs this month and see what happens.
.
Why is it that after working with us for a couple months our clients are eating at least 50% - 200% more carbs per day than when they first walked through our doors?
.
Is it because we’re paid off by Sunrice and Kellogg’s and the local honey companies in a devious conspiracy to make people spend more money on carbs?
.
Or is it because we know people feel better eating more carbohydrates, they can train harder, they recover faster from that training, internal health tends to be better when it’s done properly (ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN), they’re sleeping better, they look 10x better because muscle glycogen stores are full and the body is in an un-stressed state, muscle bellies are fuller, midsections are tighter, and people are just plain HAPPIER.... 🧐🧐🧐
.
See, there’s a ton of people out there limiting their carbs NOT because they’ve tried a high carb diet and found it didn’t work - it’s just because they’ve been told high fat = better so many times they believe it must be true.
.
If you’re currently tracking your cals it’s a pretty simple plan - sit your protein and fats around the limits we’ve given you in previous posts - increase calories this week by 10% USING CARBS ONLY. Do that for a week, next week increase again by 10% of the previous weeks cals. Track your weight and how you’re looking in the mirror each week - you’ll probably find your body will just soak up the extra carbs, and instead of getting fatter you’ll actually just start looking / training / feeling better each week.
.
At some point your weight will start to track up, DONT back off the carbs at this point - increase intensity or volume of training and use those extra cals. You’ll normalise again really quickly, your body will adapt to using those extra calories and you’ll be good to go.
.
If you’re not tracking your calories at this point but you ARE limiting carbs and think life might be better if you were able to eat a bowl of coco pops every day then message us and let us fix the problem for you! We coach people through incredible body transformations and WE LOVE DOING IT! 😍😍
